About this path
This role designs practical automations for sales, service, recruiting, finance, administration and operations. The focus is not impressive demos. It is understanding a real workflow, connecting the right tools, handling exceptions, documenting the solution and proving that it works in everyday operations.
You will sit with operations teams, understand where time is lost to repetitive manual work, and build automations that hold up under real conditions, including exceptions and edge cases. This is builder work grounded in business outcomes, not demo polish. You will be judged on whether the automation keeps working reliably after you hand it off.
What you would own
- Mapping existing manual workflows before automating anything
- Building automations using tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n or custom scripts
- Designing exception handling so failures do not go unnoticed
- Documentation that lets non-technical staff understand and maintain the workflow
- Testing automations against real data before rollout
- Ongoing monitoring and adjustment after launch
You are likely a strong match if
- You have built automations that are still running in production today
- You can translate a messy manual process into a reliable automated one
- You understand the difference between a demo and a dependable system
- You are comfortable working across sales, support, finance or recruiting workflows
- You document your work clearly enough for others to maintain it
- You think in terms of failure modes, not just happy paths
Helpful, not required
- Experience with Zapier, Make, n8n or similar automation platforms
- Basic scripting ability in Python or JavaScript
- Prior experience in RevOps, sales operations or business operations
- Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems

- Staff can explain what the automation does and when it needs attention
- Time saved is measurable and reported back to the business
- Exceptions are caught and routed to a human instead of causing errors
